  • Casa Italiana has announced a new annual $1000 scholarship for post-secondary studies. Children and grandchildren of members of Casa affiliated clubs (including Dante Alighieri Society of Washington) are eligible to apply. Applications are due May 18. See the attached details and application form at pdf or link.

  • Biblioteca Italiana Seattle (BIS), a library of Italian language literature is maintained by Il Punto! Membership for BIS is free and users can borrow books at no charge. Library books can be picked up by visiting BIS at 14300 Greenwood Ave N on Sundays between 2 and 4pm, with the help of a volunteer. Learn more.

  • Pacific MusicWorks, is a nonprofit professional music ensemble in Seattle specializing in early and Baroque music. On May 12-13, 2018, they will be presenting a concert titled “Roman Holiday”, consisting of music by George Frideric Handel from the period when he lived and composed in Rome. This program of lovely Italian Baroque music will feature internationally-acclaimed soprano Amanda Forsythe. The May 12, 7:30pm performance will be at Emmanuel Episcopal Church on Mercer Island, and the May 13, 2:00pm performance will be at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Seattle.

  • DAS Language Program Honored with a Grant for the second year from the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco and the Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco.
